Confirmation of registration documents
- Students who have successfully completed their registration will be issued with the REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION LETTER (RCL) document as evidence of having successfully registered to study for a particular semester.
- The REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION LETTER (RCL) letter will be sent to every online student along with their study books/materials via a courier service.
- Please contact the College via email at admin@hillcrosscollege.com if you did not receive the REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION LETTER (RCL) letter when your books arrives via courier.
Orientation Guide
- Understanding how things work is a critical part of studying at the College. The NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION BOOKLET provides this critical information.

- It is important that students read and familiarise themselves with the basic way the college operates from the information provided in the orientation booklet.

- The academic calendar provides important information regarding the dates for every academic process at the college.

Student Card
- Every student must ensure that they send an ID photo for the purpose of their student card.
- The ID photo shot can be taken with a phone but must have a white plain background.
- Students who have not sent in their ID photo should do so immediately.
- The ID photo should be sent via email to paulinah.n@hillcrosscollege.com with information such as ID Number, Program of Study and Student Number.
Books/Learning Materials
- Students are expected to order for their books once they have fulfilled all the requirements stated above.
- Books must be ordered early enough every semester so that they are delivered on time.
- Books once ordered, will be delivered via fast courier.
- The books can also be picked up at the college by the students.
- The cost of the fast courier will be borne by the student and the amount payable will depend on where the student resides.
- Students are expected to pay a minimum of 70% of the cost of books before they are released to them.

- Books are dispatched after about a week after payment is received.
Free matric rewrite/upgrade opportunity
- Students who are interested in the FREE Matric rewrite/upgrade are advised to contact the College via email on or before the 20th of February 2025 via email to academics@hillcrosscollege.com for registration.
E-Learning Portal
- The eLearning portal can be accessed from https://online.hillcrosscollege.com
- The username is either the student’s ID or passport number for foreign students and the password remains the same one used during the online application.
- If you forget your password, please do a password change from the portal or contact the system administrator via email at ict@hillcrosscollege.com.
- What you need to study via Online/Distance Learning:
- Reliable internet connection
- Laptop, Desktop, or tablet
- A good study environment
- Time management skill
- Assignment and assessments will be uploaded and accessible from the e-Learning portal.
- The link to the e-LEARNING PORTAL USERGUIDE is available from the e-Learning portal.
- The portal will be open and accessible to students from Monday, 17th February 2025.
- Login details for returning students remains the same from the previous semester.

Commencement/Resumption of Classes
- Students must ensure that they are able to login to the e-Learning portal from Monday, 17th February 2025.
- Students must pay serious attention to the 2025 ACADEMIC CALENDAR for the purpose of submission deadlines and other important dates related to their study.

Assessments and examination
The following must be noted:
- There will be a minimum of two assessments per module per semester.
- The assessments will have a submission deadline.
- Students will be expected to submit the assessments online from e-Learning Portal on or before the due date for submission.
- Depending on the program of study, examinations will be written either online or face-to-face. The modes of examination are stated on the CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION document issued to all fully registered students. Concerns about assessments and examinations should be directed via email academics@hillcrosscollege.com
Examination results
- Once results are available, they can be viewed from the e-Learning Portal provided the student’s fees are up to date.
Communications
- Each course module has a dedicated WhatsApp group for effective communication between students and their respective lecturers.
- Student should ensure that they are added to all the relevant WhatsApp group of all the modules they will be taking during each semesters.
