 The Scholarship is directly administered and offered to qualifying students by the College whereas; the Bursary is a corporate Investment Initiative between the College and responsible private business organizations who commit to support young and financially disadvantaged South African students.

Yes, it is on a yearly basis but on the condition of good academic performance and subject to the availability of funds.

 No, it is not transferable and can only be used for one academic year at the College yet renewable.

If you have obtained South African citizenship, you will qualify for the Scholarship/Bursary and also if you are from any of the SADC country.

Applications for January admission closes by 10th January while applications for second semester July admission closes by 31st July. The closing date could be extended depending on the volume of applications and or other factors.

The value of the Scholarship/Bursary is worth the total of all academic expenses of the beneficiary for that particular year.

You must be between 18 – 30 years to qualify for the Scholarship/Bursary.

The Scholarship/Bursary can only be used to study at HillCross Business College.

Deferment can only be allowed for a semester and not for a year. If you intend to defer for up to a year unfortunately you will have to forfeit the Scholarship/Bursary and you will be expected to re-apply again.

• Pass in Matric result (Higher certificate pass, Diploma pass or a Bachelor’s pass is considered)

• Other compelling social and economic reasons.
• Must be a South African or a citizen of any of the SADC countries

Application for the Scholarship/Bursary is free. 

 The FULL Scholarship covers ALL academic expenses related to the academic year of study while PARTIAL Scholarship covers only 50% of academic expenses related to the academic year of study.

It is the responsibility of the Scholarship/Bursary committee to decide within the qualifying/selection criteria applicant(s) who becomes the beneficiaries of the Scholarship/Bursary funding.

It’s advisable to apply as early as possible due to limited spaces and also because the principles of first come first serve also applies.
