The Diploma in Educare is for individuals who intends to enter the teaching career at thee foundation level. It is aimed at producing successful, reflective and teaching career-oriented graduates who will be sensitive to the demands of learners, responsive changes within the education system and committed to continuing professional education development,
This course will allow you to potentially take on a supervisor or management role in the management of young learners, it prepares you to establish a safe and healthy environment, and design and evaluate programs and care routines for these young learners. The diploma prepares you to deal with the complex issues you may encounter in this career with confidence and professionalism.

Entry Requirements
- Grade 12 – Matric,
- A senior certificate or
- National Certificate (N3) or a relevant Nated equivalent qualification
- International students with Senior School Certificate can apply.

Internship Requirement
This programme requires that the student undertakes an internship for a minimum of 18 months in relevant industry after completing the in-class academic study. There is an opportunity for job placement assistance through our industry network after graduating depending on availability.
Qualification Obtainable
On completion of the program, student will receive a certificate for each level completed and subsequently a Diploma in Educare. Certificates and Diplomas are awarded by the Department of Higher Education and Training.
